Last week, I was supposed to go to VB to stay with Frannie’s kids while she and Jeff went to Texas (San Padre Island). Since we were snowed in here, and I couldn’t get there, she brought the kids here. We had a total blast. It was the first time I’ve ever had them without the folks.
They were totally fine, kept us hopping, and we’re looking forward to getting them alone more and more, now. We played in the snow a bunch, played “go fish”, checkers, hide the chip clip (for hours), read books, etc. In the summer we’ll be outside way more hiking, swimming and so on.
I was going to get my OTHER boys (and Hannah)(and, of course, Madeline) this week, but the snow we’ve gotten will keep them away:
They weren’t excited about carrying their stuff uphill for a half mile, and are coming in April instead.
We are always blessed and always have everything we need, so a “little snow” doesn’t phase us.
Right now, I’m thinking Sunny Thoughts!!

I’m stunned and flabbergasted! Your snow blows my mind, but the size of Frannie’s boys is even more amazing. Where does the time go??? They are absolutely gorgeous kids. I can’t believe that when the big one was a tiny one I once fed him pureed zucchini. He’d probably just want a grilled cheese now or a PBJ!

DLM: Grayson will still eat zucchini when bribed with mac & cheese.
